Nicholas Giordano, MD
Interventional Pain Management Physician
Dr. Nicholas Giordano is a board-certified physician who specializes in interventional pain management. He is trained and experienced in a number of high-level techniques, all of which are designed to improve your quality of life.
Dr. Giordano earned his bachelor’s degree in biological science from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton in 2006 and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada in 2011. He completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 2017. Dr. Giordano completed a fellowship in interventional pain management from The Spine & Pain Institute of New York in New York City in 2018.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Giordano is highly regarded within the pain management community. He has presented on a variety of pain management topics at national and international conferences. He is a member of the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience (ASPN), where he currently serves on the Young Innovator panel. He is also a member of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R).
Dr. Giordano has been recognized as a Super Doctor: Rising Star by New York Times Magazine. He has served as a ringside physician for New York State Golden Gloves boxing. Dr. Giordano has provided sideline coverage for various Brooklyn high school football teams as part of the public school athletic league (PSAL). He has also provided sideline coverage for the SUNY Maritime Privateers football team, an NCAA division III football team.
In his spare time, Dr. Giordano enjoys staying active with sports and fitness activities.
Melissa Burgos-Martir, MD
Interventional Pain Management Physician
Central Florida Spine & Pain
Dr. Melissa Burgos is a bilingual Interventional Pain Management Physician fluent in both English and Spanish. She is dedicated to helping patients regain their quality of life through non-operative, minimally invasive treatments—without relying on addictive narcotics.
Dr. Burgos earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System. Following her move to Brevard County, she completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management, gaining extensive experience working alongside spine surgeons.
In her free time, Dr. Burgos enjoys an active lifestyle that includes hiking, jogging, biking, and paddleboarding. She is also an avid traveler who appreciates peaceful moments at home with a good book and her dogs.
With a compassionate approach and a commitment to evidence-based care, Dr. Burgos is here to guide patients on their journey to lasting pain relief.
Janice Rivera, PA
Surgical Physician Assistant
Janice Rivera is a talented and driven surgical physician assistant with many years of experience in the medical field. She is an invaluable resource for patients who require her skillset to help manage complex medical conditions.
Ms. Rivera earned her bachelor of arts in biology from the Immaculate College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1984 and her medical degree from Pontificial Catholic University in Santiago de los Caballeros in 1989. She then went on to complete a physician assistant program along with her surgical residency from St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center New York-Bayley Seton Campus in Staten Island in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
She is a surgical physician assistant certified from the PA Board. She is also fully licensed in three different states and speaks both English and Spanish.

Rachel Clark, FNP-C
Meet Rachel, a dedicated and compassionate nurse practitioner. Rachel earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Central Florida. She went on to complete her Master's Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of West Florida. After graduating, she received specialized training under the guidance of Dr. Nicholas Giordano. During this time, Rachel gained invaluable knowledge and skills that have enabled her to become a top-tier nurse practitioner.
With years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Rachel adds a unique wealth of knowledge to our practice. As a healthcare professional, Rachel has a strong commitment to patient care and works tirelessly to ensure that her patients receive the best possible treatment. Rachel's compassionate nature shines through in her interactions with patients, where she prioritizes their comfort and well-being.
Outside of work, Rachel cherishes spending time with her husband and two children, engaging in hobbies that bring them closer together. Rachel's passion for her job and her commitment to her family make her a truly remarkable healthcare professional and individual.
